Decision Fatigue from Wedding Planning - How to not get overwhelmed and stressed out.

Decision Fatigue is a real thing. Have you ever gotten annoyed by being asked what you want for dinner? Something as simple as this can set a person off. Why? Because we make thousands of decisions each day!! Asking to add in more decisions can sometimes become very frustrating!

Now, you are engaged and everyone keeps asking you a million questions. You google wedding venues, and ten thousand websites pop up. Where do you begin? What is the first step in planning a wedding? How do you know much to budget? Where will guests stay? How do you create a guest list? The list of questions and decisions can get overwhelming very fast!

First, take a breath, enjoy a week or so of being engaged, then you can begin planning. But where do you begin? Let's dive in.

Start with researching wedding planners. An experienced and seasoned planner will be able to guide you along the planning process. We typically divide planning into 3 phases and will walk you through each. Ask friends if they used a planner, ask family members, and finally, if you choose to hire your venue first, ask them for a referral to a great planner.

Why hire your planner first? Because, your planner will help you create a realistic budget to spend. They will tell you just how many guests you can expect to entertain with that specific budget. And they will help you to find the perfect venue that fits within that realistic budget. (we often see couples who are "venue poor" because they spent way too much of their alloted budget on the venue alone). A wedding planner will help you from the very beginning!

Next, you trust your planner. They will pair you with wonderful vendors that will both fit your budget and also fit your style and wedding day feel. Your planner will offer 1-3 options for each vendor category. This helps to narrow down the overwhelm from googling "wedding photographer near me" and 568,245 websites populate. Here is a truth - a great and experienced planner has worked with so many different vendors that most of the time they can narrow down to 1 choice for you. They are the professional, they know your style, they know your budget, they know what will work best. Trust them and let them do the work!

After a wedding, we hear all the time from our couples how easy the planning was! Why is this? Because they trust us and trust our process! Are you ready to start planning your wedding without getting decision fatugue? Contact us!! Schedule a call here!
