Creating a Wedding Design in 5 Easy Steps

When we plan your wedding we also include our design services for each wedding. We often get asked what all is included in our process. So, we decided to break it down here!

a wedding table with blue candles, blue plates, gold flatware, blue water goblets, and a compote floral centerpiece

We break down our design into 5 steps:

1) Design Meeting

2) Mood Board Creation

3) Sourcing rentals, florals, and all decor elements

4) Creating a 3-D rendering and design deck

5) Production

In our Design Meeting we will review all the important information about your wedding day colors, wants, and expectations. However, we don't stop there! We ask about your travel, food choices, things you collect, where you shop, what your hobbies are, and so much more!! We really take the time to get to know what is important to our clients, this way we can incorporate their personalities into the wedding day.

Next, we spend a few weeks putting together a mood board. This takes lots of time to dig into. We spend countless hours searching pinterest and instagram for the perfect photos. We dream up the feelings, textures, sounds, smells, and visions, we want to include. We know how important it is to include all the senses. Once we have this mood board complete, we send it over to our clients for their approval.

Third, we begin sourcing the items. This is florals, rentals, decor, stationery, all the things we include in a design. We also have a showroom full of rental items that we can include in our designs! From custom built seating charts, to welcome signs, to table numbers!! We make it easy!

Next, after all the design items are sourced, we put together a 3-D Rendering that will include a design deck with all of your decor and items! This is when you can see your vision coming to life! A 3-D rendering is a super exciting way to see your vision come to life!! This is one of our favorite days!!

Finally, we are at production. This just means we are there to over see all of the event installations and are on site to style the tables and event.

There is so much that goes into a wedding weekend and we spend countless hours behind the scenes planning and designing to make sure everything is perfect! So, are you ready to start your design? We normally start this around 10 months before your wedding date. Let's get started!
